Biome Cards for the Continents are the perfect way to explore each continent’s biomes. Each set of primary three-part Biome Cards for a continent includes an introductory card for the continent and one for each of its biomes. Fifteen animal cards for each biome include examples of invertebrates and the five classes of vertebrates with descriptions focusing on adaptations and diet. Children learn the names of animals and can read more about them in the Biome Readers. Cards for an indigenous people of the continent are also included. For each people there are seven cards. They explore the Fundamental Needs including food, clothing, shelter, transportation, and cultural expression with an emphasis on adaptation and sustainability. All of the cards are color-coded for the continent with additional coding on the back to help with self-checking and organization. The language is simplified to encourage and stimulate the research of budding writers. Masters to make coloring books and masters to create more cards are also included.
