Continent Studies

Our Continent Studies materials introduce geography with an emphasis on the natural, not political, landscape. Rather than emphasizing the distinctions of political boundaries, they focus on presenting contiguous biomes such as forests, deserts, and mountains that cover a continent. They foster an understanding of the world based on the relationships of the parts of a biome and the plants, animals, and people that inhabit it. The children gain increasingly sophisticated geographical, ecological, zoological, and cultural knowledge through materials designed for primary, lower elementary, and upper elementary classrooms.
