The Celebration Sun is used as a symbol of the Sun for many Waseca Biomes lessons. It is also used to celebrate children’s birthdays by having them hold a globe and walk around the Celebration Sun once for each year they have been on Earth. As they do so, an adult narrates a story of their development and key points in their life. The sun is wooden with 12 points and includes 12 veneer labels for the months of the year numbered 1 to 12 for control of error. The labels have print fronts and cursive backs.
