Our new, updated introductory curriculum guide to biome study begins with the concept of a biome by looking at its parts: the energy from the sun, the water, the soil, the air, the plants and the animals. Each part is explored with nomenclature, hands-on activities, movement, drama and art.
Also included, Intro to Biomes Cards provide a first lesson on the eight different biomes that are used throughout the biome materials: Temperate Forest, Tropical Forest, Wetlands, Grasslands, Mountains, Deserts and Polar Regions. The categories chosen are generalized for young children. (3 to 6 years)
